The Village Hall Trust are organising an afternoon concert by the City of Canterbury Band on Saturday 28th May 2022 from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. Refreshments and licenced bar from 2.00 pm

Plus, we have arranged for a Family BBQ on Saturday 9th July from 5.00 pm. Licenced bar with real ale, cider, Pimm’s, Prosecco and soft drinks. Quality meats plus vegetarian option. Live Music. Entry £2.50 for adults, under 16’s free.

Also, don’t forget the Village Coffee mornings organised by Betty Joynson on Fridays – 3rd March, 1st April and 6th May

During the Covid pandemic for the last 18 months the committee:

• Closed the hall due to Covid 19 restrictions in March 2020.
• Briefly opened for a few occasions with Covid-secure measures in place in Summer 2020 and closed again in November 2020.
• Opened the hall in May 2021 for Local and PCC elections.
• Reopened, as restrictions gradually lifted – Life Art restarted in May and Yoga restarted in July.
• Applied for and received a government grant to cover on-going running costs during the Covid crisis when we had no income.
• Arranged for works to be undertaken on the stage and flooring to the right hand side of the stage.  These improvements will improve the stage area for drama performances

Festive Open Morning – Sunday 12th December From 11.30 until 1.00 p.m. A village event for residents, friends and family – join us for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions we have cancelled the planned Jumble Sale on 18th April, Spring Quiz on 16th May, Band Concert on 6th June and Family BBQ on 11th July.

The Pilates Classes on Thursday Mornings and Art Classes on Wednesday afternoons have also been suspended.

Photos from the show on 14th September 2019 – well done everyone!

Over the summer holidays, the main hall, toilets and hallway have been repainted and the kitchen refurbished with a new cooker installed.  The floors have also been cleaned.

As you will see, it all looks very smart and a big thank you to all involved.

The recent BBQ was a great  evening enjoyed by lots of people as well as raising funds for the hall.

Vaughan, our Chairman would like to say a big thank you to all committee member for their hard work and commitment.  We are fortunate to have so many villagers who are able to help out setting up, on the evening, and clearing up on the Sunday morning.  The BBQ would not happen without them and we would like to pass on our thanks to everyone who helped.
