Postman Dave is retiring this summer after delivering the mail in Brook, Naccolt and Hampton Lane for the past fifteen years, and was presented with the proceeds of a collection organised by Vicky Linin
Profit from the BBQ was just over £1,300 which will go towards upkeep of the hall.
Don’t forget we are having a jumble sale this Saturday at 2.00 p.m.

The Annual Flower Show took place in the Village Hall on Saturday and 30 exhibitors made 200 entries.
Trophies presented as follows:
Vegetable Trophy – Ted Pile
Flowers and Pot Plants – Mike Holland
Flower Arranging – Carole McCarron
Cookery – Shared between Carole McCarron and Christine Finn
Handicraft – Judith Duddy
Photography – Malcolm Finn
Best in Show – Ted Pile (Three onions)
Most Points in Show – Ted Pile
Daniel Verhoeven won a Children’s medal in the 8-10 years category with his cookies and in the adult handicraft classes he gained 2nd place in the woodcraft section and 3rd with his hand or machine sewn item.
The Committee would like to thank everyone for their support in making the show a success as well as all who helped with the organisation of the day.
The Village Hall will host a Family BBQ this Saturday from 5.00 p.m.
Licenced Bar with real ale, cider, Pimm’s, wine and soft drinks.
Barbecue with quality meats and Vegetarian
Live Music from 7.30 p.m. No Direction and 9.30 p.m. Blues Abuse
Entry £2.50 for adults – children under 16 free
